Hi, my name is Herb Fischer and I'm a licensed NYC tour guide--and I now do school tours of up to 40 people!. I conduct 90-minute tours of any section of NYC: any borough and any neighborhood--I frequently conduct school tours! By Appointment Only and The cost is mere...ly $15 per person. I conduct group tours, and provide entertaining and informative lectures about NYC neighborhoods and baseball history at social halls, libraries, and other organizations. I also conduct entertaining and nostalgic talks about the history of NYC baseball and about how NYC neighborhoods have changed. You can book these talks on this site!
It is a humorous and historical look at the architecture and history of the Theater District. You also have to use your imagination, at times, like when we walk through the now-gentrified streets of Hells Kitchen, yet discuss where all the ghosts of brothels and speakeasies of an old Irish neighborhood.
Those lucky patrons who join my Times Square tour will get to see the theater where Oprah Winfrey made her Broadway acting debut and the theater which actually began the curse of Babe Ruth! The theater tour winds up at 54th St., where the tour culminates in a visit to David Letterman's performing studios, made famous by the erstwhile Ed Sullivan!
My repertoire includes Sunday tours of the Lower East Side and the Belmont section of the Bronx.
