10 Motion Graphics Tips
Even experienced motion graphic designers are constantly trying to find ways to work more efficiently. Many designers collaborate with other designers about any tips they might have. The graphics design business is always evolving; everyone in the business is always learning new things.
- Eliminate unwanted effects - This is a pretty simple tip, but important. Consult with your client about what they like and dislike about your design.
- Fix Color Problems- Make sure all video color is correct before doing any editing.
- Save work regularly- This will help prevent a lot of lost time if your program accidently shuts down.
- Think outside the box- Don't be afraid to try something new. You'll never know if a new creation will look good unless you try it.
- Take notes- Write stuff down so you don't forget. You might think of a great idea but later forget because you didn't write it down.
- Simple effects- Remember that sometimes the simple effects look better than complex ones.
- Keep the flow- Your audience should always notice a flow to your animation. Don't add effects without a purpose.
- Avoid blank screens - Your audience will become bored and disinterested if you have blank screens in the animation. Always have something for them to look at.
- Blur uncertain images - Don't be afraid to blur images out if you're unsure about them. This will help you avoid any future trouble.
- Mix effects - Adding effects will help make images look more realistic, like grass blowing in the wind.
