Business forms can be printed from almost any printer. They are documents that are used on a regular basis to keep a company's invoices, purchase orders or even correspondences looking neat and easily readable. Once the basic form is made it is saved and later filled in with the appropriate data.

Printers

Inkjet and LaserJet printers can be used to print carbonless business forms. If the form is needed in multiple copies adjust the number of copies needed in the print set up window. A dot matrix printer is necessary to print on forms that have carbon between them. A dot matrix printer is similar to a typewriter in that is has a small hammer that strikes the page. This enables the carbon paper to make additional copies.

Pre-made Business Forms

Many companies will purchase business forms that work with their business software. These forms have the fields already in place. Any type of printer can be used to fill in the fields as long as no carbon is used. The software adjusts where to put the data. The forms are fed into the printer instead of using blank paper.

Manual Forms

Some companies prefer to make their own forms. These very seldom have carbon in them, so any printer may be used. The fields on the form are saved so that they cannot be changed; only the data that is going to go in the fields is editable.
