About Christian Criminal Justice College

Criminal justice programs in Christian colleges give students the opportunity to study a criminal justice program in a faith-based setting. All of the same principles are used and the same sorts of courses are taught, but they are just done in a religious setting.

Criminal justice programs in Christian colleges are not very common. This is because the line of work requires practices that go against the Christian beliefs. In most cases, the 13 Christian colleges that currently offer criminal justice programs only teach the practices that do not go against their beliefs. This could mean an incomplete education for some depending on what specific field in criminal justice you are going into.

There are not many Christian colleges in the country. Those that do offer a criminal justice program are small, usually with 5,000 students or less. The criminal justice program itself usually has fewer than 100 students total.

Many of the criminal justice programs offered are nonviolent; therefore, unless a student finds a good internship with a correctional facility or detention center, they may be hard-pressed to get a job in the field. This is because most Christian colleges refuse to practice such teachings when it goes against their faith.

Currently, none of the colleges recommended as being the best for criminal justice programs are Christian colleges. This is because the Board of Education feels that the training is not whole. When you are trying to uphold faith foremost above the training of a job, you have a conflict of interest.
