About Hosting a Lingerie Bachelorette Party
A bachelorette party is the perfect time to go a little wild. Get together with your girlfriends and plan a party that will be remembered for generations; you might even start a tradition. There are lots of themes for bachelorette parties, but one of the great new ideas is a lingerie themed party. If you think this is the perfect party for your favorite soon-to-be bride the following tips will get you started.
Before you start the planning and preparation for your lingerie party be sure that your bachelorette will appreciate this kind of party. Your theme can be triple-x rated or just a little risqué, but if your guest of honor isn’t into it then it will be a flop either way. Once you’ve talked to other members of the wedding party, family and friends you can start the pre-marital partying.
1. Decide on a central theme.
You already know you will be having a lingerie party, but will you also have other adult party favors? Will there be fun and games that reveal intimate secrets, or will you just be calling a very expensive “pizza boy” for entertainment? You need to evaluate your guest list and decide what level of taboo is OK for your party.
2. Find a lingerie consultant.
You can find one online or get referrals from friends who have had a great lingerie party before. Try different lingerie companies that offer home parties, they may even be able to help you find party favors, balloons, cool gift ideas and themed invitations. Be sure to get your decorations and invitations together before you even set a date, or as early as possible, so you can be prepared when it comes time to get down to business.
3. Book your entertainment in advance or plan your party itinerary ahead of time.
If you are having a “special guest” be sure to book well ahead of time so you don’t get stuck with an empty hour or a last minute cancellation. When you have a less exotic form of entertainment planned, give yourself a general time outline and be sure you have all the props lined up.
4. Figure out what to do about hungry guests.
While the attention may well be on some other yummy object, your guests will eventually want to eat something. Decide if there will be a bar, what’s on the menu, and how it will be served. It may be easy to just set up a finger food buffet and an open bar. Or you can opt for a catering company to come in, but if you do this, as with the entertainment, you should definitely book way before your party date.
All that’s left to do is decorate, set out the food, and have one heck of a party!
