Starting Cost- The money you spend starting your mobile detailing business will be a lot cheaper than if you built a traditional detailing shop. Purchasing land and constructing a building will cost a lot of money even before you start washing cars. The biggest expense you'll have with a mobile detailing business is the gas you spend driving to each location. The initial cost of your trailer for supplies and the truck you pull it with will still be a lot cheaper than a building.

Detail Services- You should be able to perform the same services that any other detail shops provide. Many mobile detail businesses carry water in barrels to clean the outside of the vehicles. You would want to avoid using water from customer’s homes because you'll be using a lot and also it will probably be hard water, which can stain a vehicle.

Working Conditions- You'll probably do most of your detailing outside unless businesses and individuals have an indoor facility. This means it will get real hot in the summer and cold in the winter. The types of hours you work shouldn't be abnormal because nobody will probably want their vehicle detailed very early or late in the day. You will probably have to work more on the weekends, as that is when a lot of people like getting their vehicles detailed.
