These types of moving companies specifically specialize in renting trucks. Customers can reserve an appropriately sized truck for a day or a week. The customer is expected to pack their own items, load the truck, drive it to their new location and unpack the truck. These types of moving companies can be the most cost effective.

Customized Moving Companies

There are moving companies that can help you customize your move to fit your needs. They may provide the truck and driver, but you may have the responsibility of packing the truck. Some companies my offer packers, but you will have the responsibility of driving the truck. This type of moving company may be appropriate for you need help with only part of your move.

Full Service Moving Companies

Another type of moving company is the full service moving company. These companies will do everything while you sit back and relax. They will pack boxes, make an inventory of each box, load the boxes onto the truck and drive the truck to your new destination. Some full service moving companies may also assist you in unpacking the boxes at your new destination.
