About Urban Art Projects

The urban environment with its large buildings, huge number of people and different lifestyles, along with its architecture and transport system serve as a great inspiration to an artist. Through this inspiration many artists come up with different amazing projects about the city, the lifestyle and its energy.

Photography

Photography is a great sense of art, and the urban environment has provided an inspiration for photographic art since the 1800s. These types of photography work to depict the different aspects of life of the urban environment and street photography. Because of the availability and affordability of cameras, a lot of such projects have been organized that showcase how far the urban environment has changed.

Graffiti Art

Graffiti is a form of urban art that conspires to bring controversy. The art creates beautiful images and sends great messages in place of dirty old walls. It is controversial because it is known as a form of vandalism and the artists work illegally. Many Hollywood stars buy graffiti work for thousands of dollars with an intention of making it legitimate. This art has created jobs for many artists hence working as a great inspiration to the upcoming graffiti artists.

Public Art

L.S. Lowry is a British painter who pioneered in capturing "beauty" of urban landscapes by recording the changing phases of industrial Manchester from the early to mid-20th century. Through these projects a lot of inspiration was noted in attitude and style for urban art. An exhibition was put in honor of his great work, where a lot of his work was displayed.

Architecture

Architecture and long buildings with different shapes play a very vital role in urban art. Artists come together to showcase their different designs. These projects bring people from all over.
