Baby Room Color Ideas
If you are expecting a bundle of joy, you may be indecisive about which color you should use for the baby's room. While pink is the traditional color for a girl and blue is the traditional color for a boy, many different colors and designs are now being used.
Gender Neutral
If you want the sex of the baby to be a surprise or just prefer gender neutral designs, many different shades can be used. Different shades of light yellow, green, orange, and even some shades of red can be used in a gender neutral room. You are going to want to avoid shades of pink, purple and blue.
Neutral Colors
You may want to choose a white paint for the wall colors. This neutral color may seem plain to some people, but it is actually a wise choice. When you have white walls, you can buy all kinds of accessories for the room. If you are planning to live in the same house for several years, you will be able to change the theme of the room as your child gets older. For example, when your child is a baby you may want to use baby animal themed accessories. However, once your child gets to the age were he is interested in certain characters, you can easily replace old accessories with new character-themed accessories. A white wall goes with just about everything.
Vibrant Colors
In recent years, vibrant colors have become common in a nursery or baby room. Some of these vibrant colors include bright shades of green, yellow, orange and many other warm colors. A room that is painted with vibrant colors can be intriguing and soothing for the baby, as well as calming for the parents.
