Baby Shower Decoration Craft Ideas
Creating your own baby shower decorations is a great way to save money. It is a fun way to add a special touch to any baby shower. There are a number of adorable baby shower decorations you can make yourself, and some even double as a gift for the guest of honor.
Baby Sock Bouquet
A baby sock bouquet makes an excellent centerpiece for the table. Begin by laying out your baby sock and rolling up the toe of the sock toward the opening. Slightly angle the toe toward the opening. It will take about three rolls for the sock. Make sure you leave a little bit of the sock unrolled, and open the sock inside out around the rolls. Cut 12 to 16 inches of floral wire for your stem, and stick it into the bottom of your sock rose as high up as it will go. Beginning high up on the base, wrap floral tape around your sock rose. Wind it down around the stem all the way to the bottom. Make as many of these as you wish for your sock bouquet. Arrange them in a vase with some baby's breath for a beautiful bouquet.
Napkin Baby Shirts
Napkin baby shirts are an adorable way to hold silverware. Begin by unfolding the first layer of the napkin. Now fold down the two outside edges in toward the center. Fold down the top two corners to create the collar. You can use glue or double sided sticky tape to adhere the inside edges and the bottom. Decorate your napkin shirts with ribbon and buttons in desired color.
Baby Sock Clothesline
A baby sock clothesline is perfect to hang on the wall. Simply cut a piece of yarn to desired length and hang it on the wall with push pins. Attach the baby socks with miniature clothespins. Have guests write a note to the baby on pretty paper. Roll up the notes and tie them with a ribbon to stick in the baby socks.
