Bathroom Towel Storage Ideas

Bathroom towels tend to collect and overrun a linen closet. There are more attractive ways to store bathroom towels then folding them and squeezing them into an already crowded linen closet. There never seems to be enough storage in the bathroom itself, but with a little creativity your towels can make attractive and useful bathroom decor.

  • You can roll your bathroom towels instead of folding them and tie them with matching ribbon to make attractive bathroom decor. Place the rolled towels in a basket or on the back of the toilet seat to make the bathroom inviting.

  • By painting the bathroom door with magnetic paint you can hang several magnetic towel hooks on the back. You can hang several towels on the back of the bathroom door for use when needed.

  • If you lack shelf space in the bathroom, buying an over the toilet shelf can provide additional storage space for towels in your bathroom. Many chain and department stores sell attractive over the toilet shelves that can match any home or bathroom theme.

  • If your problem is that you have too many bathroom towels, you may want to go through them to see if there are any you can discard. You only want to keep the towels that are presentable. Stained, soiled, or ripped towels can be discarded or recycled for messy projects.

  • Lastly, you may want to store some of your bathroom towels either in your attic, basement or other storage space. Placing the towels in airtight plastic bins or bags can prevent them from being exposed to the elements or bugs. When you need a replacement towel or have guests, you can pull the towels from the storage area instead of a messy linen closet.
