There are recipes for almost all types of bath and body products that you can make yourself at home for a more affordable price. Most of the products that you need can easily be found at your local grocery or general store.

Bath Salts

  1. Combine two cups of Epson salt with a half cup of sea salt and stir until the two are blended thoroughly. The combination of these two salts will help with muscle pain as well as provide your skin with essential nutrients that it needs.

  2. Choose oil that you would like to use to scent your bath salts. Any scented oil will do.

  3. Add some food coloring if you would like to color your bath salts, and then stir all ingredients together until the oils and food coloring are evenly coated on the granules of salt.

  4. Package your bath salts in an airtight jar or in small airtight containers for individual use.

Moisturizer

  • Plain yogurt is a great all natural moisturizer that can be adapted for both dry and oily skin types. If you have dry skin you should choose a yogurt that is high in fat content, if you have oily skin you want to choose a yogurt that is low fat or fat free.

  1. Apply the plain yogurt directly to your face and rub into your skin in a circular motion.

  2. Allow the yogurt to sit for five to ten minutes and then rinse away with cold water until it is thoroughly removed.

Body Lotion

  1. Mix together olive oil and aloe vera gel in a medium sized bowl until well blended.

  2. Add five to ten vitamin E liquid gels into the mixture. You will need to cut these in half using a pill cutter or sharp knife, and then squeeze the contents into your lotion mixture.

  3. Stir well until all ingredients are thoroughly blended together.  If you want your lotion to be scented, you can add scented oil such as almond or lavender to your lotion to give it extra moisturizing benefits as well as provide a nice scent.

  4. Pour the ingredients into a decorative jar, and label so you know which scent you have used for future reference.
