Best Places to Find Old Movies to Buy

It is a cold, wintry Saturday night. You have just finished drying your hair and you are in for the night. Your cat lounges at the foot of your bed, and your dog is blissfully napping in front of the heater. You've got your pink fluffy robe on and some comfortably worn slippers. You've got a bag of popcorn popping in the microwave, a TV dinner heating up in the oven and a piece of cake on standby. Why? It's old movie night.

There are numerous places to find old movies to buy. Some include:

• Secondhand stores. No matter if it is The Goodwill, The Value Village or some other place, just about every secondhand store worth its salt has an old movie section. Check out your local video shop too; they sell old movies from time to time.

• Flea Markets. Some flea market tables have both old and newer movies for sale. Check out all the tables that carry movies before deciding on which ones that you want.

• Yard sales. Most yard sales will have an old movie or two up for grabs. Some people may even give them away because they are so desperate to get rid of them.

• Craigslist, eBay, Amazon.com and other Internet sites might carry a selection of old movies. Be careful when purchasing anything from private sellers on these sites, however. Make sure the seller has a good ranking and/or reviews. Also make sure that you have a PayPal account before trading money and product.

• Your family and friends. Chances are, the people that you may know have some old movies that they aren't interested in keeping anymore. Let them know how much you love old movies and perhaps they will hook you up for your birthday.
