Best Way to Repair Engine Coiling Fans

The cooling fan in your vehicle’s engine is very important to the success of the engine. There are two cooling fans in your vehicle that keep the engine cool so it does not overheat. Sometimes, these fans do not work properly and you need to give them immediate care.

First check the fan belt. If this belt is worn thin, cracked or missing, the fan will not run. Replacing the belt may instantly fix the cooling fan.

If the fan belt is in good working condition, the next thing you should check would be the piping. The piping includes all hoses and control valves. Make sure none of these are cracked, brittle or missing. Double check that the hoses are connected properly; these hoses can vibrate loose over time. Most vehicle hoses should be replaced every two to three years to keep the cooling system working properly.

You should also make sure that the fan blades are free from debris and excessive dirt. This can clog a fan and keep it from working properly. A clean engine will always run better.

If you have checked the basic hoses, connectors, values and cleanliness, then your problem may exist elsewhere. Many times the cooling unit will stop as a safety mechanism to keep your engine from overheating. The fan cannot continue to cool an engine if something major is wrong. You should have a professional diagnosis a deeper problem causing the cooling system to stop.
