A driving school that is licensed by the DMV must comply with all the rules, regulations and laws of the state. Check with your local DMV office or website to get a list of licensed driving schools.
A great driving school will only hire instructors that are trained as professional driving instructors. These schools will regularly screen for drugs and do thorough background checks before hiring.
A good driving school will only use the safest of vehicles. They should be equipped with airbags and stability control systems. Dual brake pedals is another sign of a reputable driving school.
Make sure you find a qualified driving school that has classes and instruction that are schedule friendly. Classes should revolve around your life and schedule.
Some may want to enroll their new driver in the least expensive school to save money. Just remember, some schools cut costs by using vehicles that are not as safe as others or hire instructors without proper credentials. So choose your driving school wisely.
