How Does Car Polish Protect a Car's Paint?

Car Interior Cleaning Tips

Keeping your car interior clean is one of the best ways to preserve the value of your car. It also makes travel a lot less stressful as you won’t have clutter in your car, distracting your attention. Keeping the interior of your car clean is simple and can be done monthly to keep it looking nice.

  • Remove all of the floor mats from your car and set them aside to clean later.

  • Remove trash from the car. Throw away anything that you don't need and put everything else in its proper place.

  • Vacuum all areas of your car, starting at back windshield and working down your back seats, to the floor board in the back and then repeat the same with the front of the car. Once all the carpet and cloth areas of your car are clean, use the vacuum to remove dust, crumbs or other debris from the cracks around the gearshift and foot pedals of your car. If you aren't able to use your home vacuum to do this you can go to a local automatic car wash. They are usually always equipped with what is known as a super suction vacuum made especially for automobiles.

  • Spray Armor All onto a clean, lint free rag and rub it into your dashboard using slow, circular motions to allow the cleaner to penetrate into the grain of the vehicles interior. Pay particular attention to the heat and air vents and buttons of the radio. This cleaner is non greasy so it can be used safely on most car interior surfaces. However, do not use Armor All on any area of the steering wheel or pedals of the car. For these areas you can use a clean microfiber cloth to remove any dust or grime.

  • Clean the front and back windshields and side windows with ammonia-based cleaner to clear them of grime and make them sparkle.

  • Vacuum off carpeted floor mats or spray them with a garden hose if they are plastic or vinyl before replacing them in the car.
