Caring for Infrared Patio Heaters
Patios are a great place to sit and enjoy the fresh air. Because it can get cold at night or on chilly days, having an outdoor patio heater allows you to use the patio comfortably, even in cold conditions. An infrared patio heater is one type of heater commonly used for patios.
Infrared heaters are a great choice for patios because of the way they heat. These units heat the area directly in front of it instead of heating the air. They heat in a way that is similar to the sun, and allow you to get warm without wasting the heat by blowing it into the air outside. Caring for your infrared heater helps it perform properly.
These heaters are cleaner than other types of heaters sold on the market because they suck the dirt out of the air, and carry it to the devices filter. Because these heaters are used outside, they are filtering large amounts of dirt and pollen from the air. You want to clean the filter on the device after a few uses to maintain optimal performance. This can be done easily, because the filter is removable in most devices and can be wiped down.
Be sure to always have your heater protected from wet weather conditions. If water leaks inside of the device, it can cause problems for the heater. This can be done by keeping the heater covered with a tarp, or putting it inside when the unit is not being used.
Using the heater outside can cause dirt and debris to build up on the device. To care for the heater, wipe the unit down with soap and water. This removes all material that has built up and keeps the heater looking its best.
