Commercial Interior Design Positions

Commercial interior design projects create many jobs for many individuals. In addition to the lead designer and his or her assistants, there are many positions that must be filled. These positions include construction workers, painters, decorating crews and other contractor workers.

A commercial interior design project requires various people to complete. There are several positions within one assignment. All the workers contribute and are equally important, even if the pay is not so equal.

There is always a lead designer associated with a commercial interior design job. This person is responsible for the entire project, and he or she oversees all aspects of the work until it is complete. The lead designer must come up with a design, present it to the company and follow through with it.  This person is also in charge of assigning other positions for the project. The leader will need at least one assistant. The assistant will serve as the lead designer's right hand, helping with anything and everything possible.

Other positions within a commercial interior design job are decorators and construction crews. These people do the hard work associated with fulfilling the design presented by the lead designer. They transform the room or rooms into the works of art imagined in the design.

All the positions in a commercial interior design project are important. Everyone gives something to the final product. Of course, the lead designer and his or her assistant make the larger salaries due to training and expertise. However, everyone on the team plays an important role.
