Country club managers have a big job that includes making sure the establishment runs smoothly. The manager may also be in charge of customer service and meeting the needs of the customers. A country club manager must keep things running smooth between the customers and workers.

One of the main tasks of a country club manager is to make sure all hiring needs are met. If the manager does not have the time to complete these on his or her own then they may hire a human resources manager. Most of the hiring will be overseen by the country club manager to see to it that all hiring needs are met.


Customer Service


Customer service is a major part of any business but especially country clubs. A country club manager must understand the needs of the customers and how to meet them. The manager of the establishment should also know how to handle arguments and unforeseen circumstances. Customer service may involve bad service or a bad product that was sold to the customer. In either circumstance the country club manager should be prepared to handle it.


Business Aspect


One of the biggest aspects of being a country club manager is dealing with money. A country club manager may have to be in charge of dealing with the everyday funds of the club. Creating a budget and sticking to it is just one aspect of this difficult task. Counting the money every day and making sure drawers are balanced is another function of a country club manager. Depending on the size of the country club, the manager may be able to designate some of these tasks to other workers.
