DIY Colonic Irrigation
The colonic procedure is designed to help relieve constipation. It can also be used to improve your digestion. Additionally, many use it as a way to begin a healthy lifestyle by cleaning out all the unhealthy foods from the colon. This procedure can become quite expensive if done at a doctor’s office, so make your own in the comfort of your home for a fraction of the cost.
Things You Will Need:
- Enema kit
- Filtered or distilled water
- Coffee
- Aloe vera juice
- Probiotics
- Purchase an enema kit and a colonic board from your local drug store or retailer. These kits include a bag and a tube for insertion. The board is needed in order to hang the bag when you do the procedure.
- Disinfect all of the tools you will use with hot water and soap.
- Filter the water before pouring it into the enema bag. You may also opt to use organic aloe vera for this process. Others choose to use organic coffee to help speed up the production and elimination of bile while further helps with the detoxification process.
- Allow the coffee to cool down and measure 1/2 cup, mixing it with 2 cups of the filtered water. Pour this mixture into the enema bag and insert for irrigation. Repeat five additional times to ensure the colon is thoroughly washed.
- Follow with an aloe vera juice and filtered water mixture to help heal any irritation that may have been caused by this process.
- Take probiotics to reintroduce the friendly flora into your digestive tract.
- Contact your physical or family doctor for any questions related to this procedure. Additionally, if you are not comfortable performing these steps on your own, consult your physician.
