Painting the exterior of your home can be difficult if you do not have the right colors. Make sure to pick out the right colors before you start painting. You can also do a test spot to make sure the house will look its best after you apply the paint. 

Bright Colors

For the past hundred years, people have been constantly trying out new colors for their homes. More and more people are choosing bright colors to make their homes stick out. You can go bold and paint your entire house a bright green or yellow. If you want to go small, you can simply paint the trim or doors a bright color. Choose any color you want that is bright and the exterior of your home is sure to stick out. Keep your neighbors in mind; although you love bright pink, it does not mean they will.

Traditional

Many homes are painted beautifully with regular white or tan paint. There is nothing wrong with going a traditional route and keeping the exterior of your home very simple. Simplicity can still translate into stylish. Paint the exterior of your home with the color of your choice but add accessories here and there. You can add a gazebo to the outside of your home to compliment your more traditional paint job.

You may be excited to paint the outside of your home but choose your color carefully. Test an area of the home to make sure it takes your chosen color well. If you choose to go with a dark color for the exterior paint, make sure you are happy with the color because it is harder to lighten paint then darken it.
