Facts About Animal Services
Animal services or animal shelters as they have been called are temporary homes for cats and dogs. These shelters provide the animals with care until they are adopted out. These animal services rely on community donations to keep the animals safe.
What Animal Services Do
Animal shelters will find homeless or lost cats and dogs and put them in a kennel at their facility. People who have lost a pet should always contact a few local animal services to find out if your animal was taken. Many shelters today are safe and caring for the animals inside of it. They hold adoptions for the animals they care for and provide them with up to date shots. If the center is crowded with animals, most will be moved to another facility or organization. Death is always a last resort and is saved for the sick or elderly.
Adoptions
Animal care services have adoption plans for many of their animals. They evaluate them and see if they are steady enough to be kept as a pet. After this test, all their info will be placed next to their cage and on the shelter's online website. You will have to pay an adoption fee before taking the cat or dog in your home. Most shelters will let you have a one on one visit with the animal you ant as your new friend. A few shelters will even visit your home to see if it is deemed fit for an animal.
