- Go to the company website where another policy of yours is held, and see what the cost is to add auto insurance. Companies give discounts for grouping multiple policies together.
- Open up a new window, or write the first quote down, and type the words “auto insurance” into any search engine, like Google or Yahoo. You will be provided a list insurance providers that you can choose from.
- Pick two or three providers, and submit the information that is needed to get a free quote. The quote will show the coverage and the cost, and possibly some comparisons with other providers.
- Compare the different quotes with each other to see which one is going to be the best policy for the cost, and look at possible discounts for later down the road, like adding more policies or accounts.
- Choose a company and put in all of the payment information that’s necessary so you can get the coverage needed.
- Print off a copy of the policy that day in keep for future referencing.
