Fundraising Ideas for Paranormal Groups

Running a paranormal group can be expensive. Good paranormal groups usually have lots of technical equipment to help assist them on their paranormal investigations. One way to raise money for operating costs and needed equipment is to do fundraising. Fundraising can be a fun way to raise money and bring awareness to your group.

Group Investigations

Invite the public along on a paranormal investigation. Charge a price per person depending on the complexity of the trip. Make sure you have made arrangements with the location for bringing a group of people. For example, it may be easy to investigate a haunted restaurant, hotel floor or graveyard with a group of people. Do these several times a year and make sure to plan one for the Halloween season where many people may be looking for an encounter with the supernatural.

Merchandise Sales

Create official looking t-shirts, jackets and other merchandise items the public may be interested in buying. Set up a booth at local fairs and festivals. Getting your name out there is an important part of bringing funding to your group. Selling merchandise can be an effective way to raise money as many people may be looking for a unusual shirt to sport around town.

Lectures and Speaking Engagements

Have your group host lectures and speaking engagements several times a year. Offer small appetizers, beer and wine for a per person price. Have slides set up to discuss what your group does. Let the investigators tell personal experiences and show any unusual video footage you may have. The public is always interested in learning about the supernatural and retelling your experiences can be a good way to raise money.
