Tracking

Tracking is done in a few steps including braiding and sewing down the natural hair then the purchased hair weave is sewn into the braids. Normally at least two packs of hair is needed to complete this technique because it uses around 10 tracks of weave for an entire head. Some natural hair may be left out for styling purposes by choice. Tracking is also commonly known as sew-in. With tracking, the hair can be washed, curled dried if human hair is used. This technique can last a few to several months with proper technique and care.

Bonding

Bonding weave technique is one of the most popular and least expensive of the hair weaving techniques. Tracks of weave can be glued to the natural hair or to an attachment, such as toupee or a wig cap. There are two forms of bonding which are soft and hard. Soft bond is the most used and it dries into rubber glue. Hard bonding is only used when soft does not work and it dries into super glue. The bonding technique is a temporary solution that may last from a few weeks to over a couple of months.

Fusion

Fusion is one of the newer hair weaving techniques. The technique takes at least five hours or more to complete. It is the most expensive and it looks the most natural. Fusion technique for an entire head sections the natural hair into around 50 sections and up to 20 pieces of human hair weave is fused into the natural hair. The fusion technique is the most versatile.
