How Many Zaxby Restaurants are There?

Zaxby has come a long way from the basketball courts of Georgia Southern University, where it was first conceptualized by its owners, Zach McLeroy and his friend Tony Townley. As of today, there are exactly 530 Zaxby restaurants spread throughout America, with a great concentration in the South. Most of the states in America have at least one Zaxby, with the exception of Louisiana, West Virginia and Oklahoma, who have none.

The highest number of Zaxby restaurants can be found in Georgia, with 194 restaurants. This is followed by South Carolina, with 74 Zaxby branches, Alabama with 62 restaurants, North Carolina with 54 branches, Tennessee with 50 and Florida with 42 Zaxby branches. The famous all-American food joint has only 18 branches in the state of Alabama, 15 in Kentucky , 11 restaurants in Mississippi, only 6 in Texas and finally, just 3 branches in the state of Virginia. There is news that the next location for Zaxby will be Louisiana, although a date for this has yet to be set. 

Each Zaxby establishment is furnished and decorated differently, with posters and memorabilia associated with their location. In Zaxby Orlando Florida, for example, the restaurant's interiors are decorated with citrus-related ornaments.
