How To Make a Car Show Flyer

A car show is a big event and you want to let as many people know about the show as possible.  One of the best ways to get the information out to the public is to create a flyer.  Flyers can be hung on community boards, placed in church bulletins, handed out to the public and displayed in store windows.  Since you will want to attract people to this car show, you will want to make a flyer that is attractive and informative.

1. Open a word processing program, like Microsoft Word, on your computer.

2. Place the words “Car Show” at the top of the page in big, bold letters.  If you are using MS Word, you can insert WordArt to make these letters big and bold.  If you have another program, make sure the letters are at least a font size of 30 or bigger.

3. Center pertinent information, like the location and time.  If there is a cost or entry fee, include this information.

4. Add contact information, if necessary.  Some car shows require a ticket or advanced registration.  If this is the case with your show, make sure you indicate the details on the flyer.

5. Insert pictures of cars on your flyer.  Do not make it look too crowded; two or three cars should be fine.  You can use pictures of real cars or clipart pictures, whichever you prefer.

6. Look at the flyer as a whole page.  Evaluate the balance of the page.  Make sure it is centered and not crowded.  Make necessary changes to create an even looking flyer.

7. Check for spelling or grammar errors.  If you are not sure, have someone else read over the flyer before you print several copies.

8. Use a color printer or print your flyer on brightly colored paper.  Color flyers get attention.
