How To Make a Two Strand Necklace
Two strand necklaces are a great way of adding a little extra flare to your outfits. They can be created using beads of a variety of sizes, colors and shapes. Once the two strands are completed, you simple need to attach them to the same chain. It is advisable that you make both strands of the necklace different lengths so that you will be able to see them both at the same time.
- Select the beads that you will use to create your two-strand necklace. They can all be the same, different colors or even different sizes, shapes and textures if you like.
- Select the length that you want your necklace strands to be. You want to make sure that both strands are long enough that neither is choking you. It is advised that the strands be two different lengths so that you can see them both at the same time. If the beads are different sizes and shapes, this will also prevent them from rubbing your skin wrong and causing an irritation.
- String the beads onto both strands in the order that you want them. Be sure to leave enough room on the ends of both strands so that you can attach them to the clasp ends so that you can wear them.
- Pick up a strand and tie one end of it one side of the clasp. Do this with the same strand to the other end of the clasp. This prevents all the beads from falling off while you attach the other strand.
- Tie the other strand onto one end of the clasp. Attach the other end of the strand to the other side of the clasp. Be sure that you knot the strand's ends several times so that it won't come untied.
- Using a dab of superglue, dot on a spot on both sides of the clasp where you have attached the strands. This will help ensure that they will not come untied or fall off of the clasp.
