How to Make an Earring Holder
- Go shopping for a grease splatter. These items are used to keep the grease from a pan from splattering everywhere. These make perfect holders for earrings.
- Visit your local craft store to purchase small pieces of ribbon. You can choose different colors for the splatter or you can keep it a color that will match the room you plan to use your earring holder.
- Use the ribbon to go in and out of the holes at the top near the rim the splatter, and one at the bottom of the splatter. You want to make sure the two ends will meet. Secure the ribbons by tying them together to make a cute bow. You can also consider spray-painting the grease splatter the color you want.
- Drill a hole into the middle of the splatter. Make sure the hole is big enough to run a screw through it.
- Locate a stud in the wall in the room you plan to secure your earring holder. Attach the grease splatter to the stud with a screw using a screwdriver.
- Pull the handle of the splatter a way from the wall. Make sure it is parallel to the flow. Bend the screen of the splatter upward.
Attach your earrings to the splatter and secure them with the backs of the earring. For earrings with hoop backs, just lay them over the wire of the splatter.
