How To Remove Orange Self-Tanning Cream From Your Skin
When experimenting with the use of self-tanners, you may have experienced an orange color or streaking. While some self-tanning creams and products look amazing, others can be disappointing. For those who have dealt with the embarrassing orange look after using a self-tanning cream, there are methods for removing the orange color from skin.
- Purchase a sugar scrub that can be used for exfoliation. Exfoliation is important in order to remove the orange color from the body.
- Purchase several lemons. You will need plenty of them so you may want to purchase an entire bag of lemons.
- Set up a bath for yourself. You should use warm to hot water.
- Slice up some of the lemons and place them into your bathwater. Allow the lemons to soak in the water for about five minutes before you begin soaking.
- Begin soaking in the bath tub once the lemons have soaked in the water for about five minutes. Not only does soaking in water full of lemons help remove some of that orange color, it is also quite relaxing.
- Soak in the tub for about 20 minutes. You may want to read a magazine or book while you are soaking to help the time pass.
- Put your sugar scrub on a rag or loofah. Rub your body thoroughly with the sugar scrub so that you are removing dead skin cells. This process will help to remove some of the orange hue as well.
- Rinse your body off completely.
- Take some of your other lemons and slice them up into wedges. You can use the wedges to remove some of the orange hue from your body that did not come off during your lemon bath.
- Scrub the wedges on areas of the body that still seem to have an orange hue.
- Repeat the bathing process as needed. You will typically see results after your first lemon bath.
