- Center the belt at your waist about an inch below the belly button.
- Wrap the belt around your waist, crossing the right over the left in the center of the back. Any stripes will now be on the right side. Make sure the ends of the belt even.
- Lay the left side of the belt across waist, and then lay the right side across waist. Any stripes will now be on the left.
- Slide the left end behind the layers of belt from underneath: the stripes will continue to be on the left.
- Loop the right side of the belt into a U shape and then bring the striped left end of the belt over in front of the U.
- Loop the left, striped end under and up through the U to make the knot.
- The stripes should now be on the right. Pull the ends to pull the belt and knot tightly, making sure the ends are still even.
