How to Advertise Your Apartment for Rent on Facebook

Chances are you'll find somebody in your neighborhood looking to rent an apartment that has a Facebook account. Facebook has a section called marketplace where people list items they're selling or renting. You can easily add your apartment to their listings in a few simple steps.

1. Take photos of your apartment with a digital camera. It will be a lot easier to rent your apartment if people can actually see what it looks like. Take pictures of both inside and outside of your apartment. People will want to know what the neighborhood looks like. Make sure your apartment is cleaned before you take the pictures. Nobody likes a dirty apartment.


2. Log in to your Facebook account and type Marketplace in the search box at the top of the screen.


3. Click on the rentals menu option below the search box at the top of the page. This will take you to the section of the marketplace where people are offering things like apartments for rent.


4. Click on the post button to the right of the rentals menu option. This will open a box where you can list your apartment for rent.


5. Fill out the form and don't forget to add your photos. Take time when writing the description portion. This is your chance to write a great sales pitch about your apartment. If you feel there is something about your apartment that's great, include it in the description.


6. Choose whether you want just your friends or anyone to see this posting at the bottom of the form. Chances are you want anyone to see the posting unless you have a lot of friends looking to rent an apartment.


7. Click the post button on the bottom right hand portion of the form. You have now successfully posted your apartment for rent on Facebook.
