How to Apply Black Hair Extensions
Black hair extensions save women time and money since they can keep the style in their hair for months at a time. Applying black hair extensions can help you to manipulate your hair length. Apply black hair extensions by twisting or braiding the extensions into your natural hair.
- Visit the beauty supply store and purchase the amount of hair extensions needed in order to braid or twist your entire head. Ask a hair stylist or close friend how many packs of hair you may need.
- Shampoo and condition your hair to prepare it to twist or braid. Blow dry your hair out straight to make it easier to braid or twist.
- Take some hair clips and section your hair off into four sections. Open the pack of hair and take out an inch of hair. Start with the back of your head, near the nape of your neck. Make the twist or braid as small or big as you want. Take the hair extension and fold it into two. Take an inch of hair and place it over the section of hair.
- Grab the section of natural hair and cross the hair extensions. Make sure that it fits tight enough to avoid coming loose. Cross the natural hair in between the two extensions and cross the right piece of extension in the middle and then the left in the middle. Continue going down until you see no natural hair. Take the two hair extensions and either twisting it by crossing it over each other or braiding by splitting the two hair extensions into three pieces and continue braiding.
- Braid or twist the entire head. Use braid spray or your own spritz in order to keep your hair and the extensions moisturized.
