How to Apply Tape Weft Hair Extensions
A weft hair extension is made from human hair and can be attached to your scalp by using tape. You can use these hair extensions to make your hair appear thicker or longer. Fortunately, the process of taping weft hair extensions to your scalp is very simple and does not take very long.
Items Needed:
- Weft hair extensions
- Comb
- Hair clips
- Blow dryer
- Use the comb to part your air into separate sections. You will need to part the hair so the upper region of hair near your scalp is exposed. Create a horizontal part using the comb, and then clip the hair away using the hair clips. You only need to worry about parting the part of the hair where you will be applying the hair extensions.
- Remove the label from the hair extension tape so that only one side is sticky. Both sides of the tape are sticky, but right now you should only remove one side. Put the sticky side of the tape on your head nearest your scalp. The tape should not actually be on your scalp but on your hair as close to the scalp as you can get.
- Remove the other side of the tape to reveal that sticky side. Press it to the other side of the tape. Press your finger across the tape to secure it. Blow a blow dryer on the tape on a low setting to completely dry it. This will help the glue melt and it will be more securely attached to your hair.
- Keep repeating this process until all hair extensions are in your hair. Once they are attached you can wash your hair normally and they will not fall out, as long as they are attached securely.
