How to Ask for Free Veterinarian Advice
If you have a pet, you are responsible to feed, groom, and get your pet medical attention when needed. Veterinarians can be expensive, however, and sometimes we just don’t have the money to pay for it. Fortunately, there are ways you can ask for free veterinarian advice to help your animal get the care it needs.
- Call your veterinarian on the phone if you have one and ask for his advice. If your veterinarian cannot help you on the phone for free, ask them if they can recommend you to someone who will. In most cases, if you just have a simple question your veterinarian will help you.
- Search online for free veterinarian advice. Navigate to a search engine, such as Google or Bing, and search for free vet advice online. For example, the Cornell University of College Veterinary Medicine has a website that offers free veterinarian services online.
- Ask at a pet store in your area. Some pet stores, such as Pet Smarts, have a veterinarian that works in the store. Sometimes they may answer simple questions for you about your pet.
- Navigate to petdocsoncall.com. Click the red “Ask a Vet Now” button and you will be taken to a forum where you can ask questions. A vet will respond to your questions in the best manner that they can, depending on what your problem is. You should get a response within a few hours to a few days.
- Navigate to healthypet.com and click the “Ask a Question” link on the right side of the page. You will be asked to create an account with a username and password. Once you do this, sign on to your account. Once you sign on, you can enter your question. You should receive an answer from a veterinarian within a few hours to a few days.
