The Best Equipment for Painting Ceilings

How to Avoid Dripping Paint When Painting Ceilings

If you have ever painted a ceiling, you probably already know how easily it is to drip paint. However, thee are newer ways of painting that can help you to avoid dripping paint regardless of the type of ceiling you are painting.

  1. Choose
the right paint. This is the first trick to not dripping when
painting your ceilings. In the past, you didn't have many choices
when it came to paint, but today, you have a variety of matt and
high gloss. If your ceiling is completely flat, choosing the paint
is very easy and the application becomes the key to prevent
    dripping.

  2. Make
sure your paint is thick enough. If it is too thin, you are likely
going to have it drip as you apply it to your ceiling. Therefore,
give it a little test in a small area to see if it drips or how
thick the paint is. Moreover, apply with a roller and move steadily
in a back and forth motion. Do not try to go too fast or you'll end
up with splatters. Use extensions for your rollers if your ceiling
    is tall.

  3. Look
at the type of ceiling your have. Some ceilings are textured to the
point where no brush will cover it and make dripping more common. In
these cases you will want to use a paint sprayer. However, before
using it be sure you practice on a surface such as old wood so you
can get the sweeping motion you need perfected.
