How to Avoid the Bird Flu

Bird flu, or avian influenza, is caused by an influenza virus that affects birds and sometimes pigs. People who get sick or have died from bird flu have had direct contact with infected birds. This does not mean that only those who deal with birds or pigs can get bird flu because it can be passed on. Here are some ways to avoid getting bird flu.

  • Avoid contact with domesticated birds by staying away from rural areas, small farms, and/or open-air markets if possible.

  • Keep away from those who appear to be sick or getting sick. This is usually easily noted by coughing and sneezing. Wearing a surgical mask can prevent you from breathing in airborne germs.

  • Avoid touching and shaking hands with people and try not to stand too close to others when speaking.

  • Do not share drinks or food with others.

  • Try to avoid small crowded areas such as elevators and situations such as carpooling.

  • Build a healthy immune system by eating right and exercising daily.

  • Take immune boosters such as:

Echinacea
Pau d'acro
Suma
Astragalus
Medicinal mushrooms
Beta glucans
Aloe vera
Alkgycerol
Lactoferrin
Bovine colostrums
Glutathione
Mangosteen

  • Try to consume natural pathogen destroyers such as:

Garlic
Olive leaf extract
Oil of wild mountain oregano
Grapefruit seed extract
Colloidal Silver

  • Practice proper hand washing techniques. Try to wash hands after coming in contact with others or coming in from outside.

  • Keep hands out of your face and away from nose, mouth, and eyes.

  • Get plenty of rest because a good night's sleep can strengthen the immune system.

  • Avoid eating out as much as possible.
