How to Build NASCAR Model Kits
Many people enjoy the fun of putting together model cars. Building NASCAR kits appeals to those who enjoy models and those who are fans of the NASCAR sport. These kits are easy enough to put together so that most people can do so with little or no problems. These are fun for adults and children.
Items needed:
- NASCAR model kit
- Model cement
- Model paint
- Small paintbrushes
- Craft knife
- Open the box that your NASCAR model comes in. Determine whether your model is one that will require gluing or whether it is one that snaps together.
- Take out all the pieces and instructions. Look at the parts list to be sure that all the pieces needed for your model are in the box.
- Separate the parts by carefully using a craft knife.
- Attach the tires to the bottom part of the car first.
- Follow the instructions for the order in which items should be assembled. Use cement glue where needed to hold small parts together. You will usually start with the inside of the car and work your way out. Many of the big pieces just snap together.
- Look at the painting diagram for the colors recommended for your car. Follow the diagram exactly in order to ensure that your model is an exact replica of the NASCAR car you have chosen to complete.
- Carefully paint the car with model paint. Let the paint dry before applying any stickers. It is a good idea to allow the car to dry overnight.
- Follow the instructions for placing the stickers on the car. Handle the stickers carefully when placing them, these tear easily and are very hard to fix if one is put on wrong.
