How to Build a Beach House
Beach houses are great if you live close to the ocean or the sea. You can enjoy the view of the water while relaxing on a nice porch in a beautiful house. The downside to having a beach house is storms. Windy days may happen often depending on how close you live to the water. Beach houses are built to handle all kinds of weather that may occur.
If you would like an excellent view of the water, build your house so that it sits up on stilts. Stilts also give you an ocean breeze and are going to give you better protection in floods and hurricanes. Put some storm shutters on all of your windows.
Build a porch that wraps around your house. Have some kind of shade on your porch. Put a grill on the deck and add ceiling fans.
Put some glass doors that slide on the inside of your porch. Add a screen for your porch so that bugs will not be a problem.
Put a shower outside so that you can clean off the sand that you have accumulated from visiting the beach.
Have the inside of your house open. This is going to allow all of the breezes to flow easily through every main room in your house. Build a single deck for all of your bedrooms to give them an amazing view of the water. Put a ceiling fan in all of your rooms. This is going to save you money on air conditioning.
Paint your house a bright color. You could also use some weathered wood so that it looks like your house was made out of driftwood.
Paint all of the walls in your room colors that you can find on the beach and add furniture.
