How to Build a Party Room
Depending on if you're hosting a party in your basement or in the living room of your house, there are several ways that you can make the room feel festive with a party atmosphere. You can create different areas in each part of your house to spread the activities from room to room. By doing this, you will create an anticipation to find out what activity the next room will bring.
Setting Up The Furniture
If your home has a lot of furniture in it, your first instinct may be to remove the furniture from the room in order to make more room for the party guests. While this is a great idea depending on the party you are hosting, you may want to consider how your furniture adds to the decorations that are placed in the room. A great way to set up the furniture is to create a specified lounge area where that guests can have a place to sit and talk comfortably.
Banquet tables are also a great idea that enable the food to be placed in a central location so that guests have easy access. If you know you're going to have activities in a specific room, then you can either remove the furniture from one room or move the furniture to one side of the room.
Choosing Decorations
Choosing decorations for a party is the most important thing to making the party successful. You need to choose decorations that fit the theme of the party and will fit in with the furniture that you already have in the home. The main areas of a room that you want to decorate are the walls and tables in the room. An easy way of decorating for a party is to use the same color for all decorations.
