How to Build a Video Player in Flash
Adobe Flash is very useful in various web applications, allowing all, from webmasters to designers, to bring video into their web pages. There are many video sites on the web that regularly use Flash for their applications, and it can be used to create video as well.
What you will need to do:
- With Flash open, click on "File" and then "Import" on the menu screen. From the menu listed, choose "Import video," and use the browse feature to find your video file. Be sure that the default options are chosen in the screen and then click on "Next". This will import your video into Flash so that you can use it.
- Pick a skin from the list of skins available in the drop-down list. You will have a variety to choose from. In selecting "none" it will eliminate any buttons and overlay options, which will mean that the video will automatically start to play when the page opens, and will only run one time and will stop when it has finished playing.
- When you have determined what skin you want to use, you will then click on "Next" and then "Finish". This will import your video onto Flash, incorporate a skin into it, and make it ready to function as an actual movie. You may need to edit the dimensions of the movie so that it is the proper size for the website where it will be played. You can also change the color of the movie's background. Once you are done, you can run a test of your video by using the "Ctrl+Enter" keys.
