About Bifocal Sunglasses

How to Buy Bifocal Sunglasses

In today’s world, there are literally thousands of sunglasses everywhere you look, including the grocery store, drug store, convenience store and on the Internet. The only problem with the wide variety of sunglass options is that if you wear prescription glasses and or wear glasses with bifocals, you’re going to need sunglasses with bifocals, because you won’t be able to see otherwise.

  • Go back to your eye doctor and get bifocal sunglasses. This step is important, because your eye doctor already has your eyeglass prescription on file and can use that information to create for you a special pair of sunglasses with bifocals that will fit you comfortably and work great.

  • Know your bifocal type. Before buying from anyone else besides your eye doctor, make sure that you know what type of bifocals that you have. Some of the most common bifocal types are: D Style Lenses, Kryptok Lenses, Curve Top Lenses and Benjamin Franklin lenses.

  • Visit your local drug store. Just about every city in the United States has a drug store, like Rite Aid or CVS Pharmacy, that offers prescription sunglasses or bifocal sunglasses that are affordable and can fit within any budget.

  • Think about your lifestyle. Make sure that you think about your lifestyle and what you will be using your new pair of bifocal sunglasses for, because if you’re going to be spending a lot of time outside doing things like gardening, walking, riding a bike or playing sports, you should have a pair of sunglasses that have the highest level of protection possible from the suns UV rays.
