How to Buy Cheap Designer Clothing

Finding designer clothing for a cheaper price is not an impossible task. However, it will require a bit of research on the consumer's part. By shopping stores online and on-site, consumers will find several resources where they can buy designer brands for less.

Things Needed to Buy Cheap Designer Clothing:

  • Researched list of stores

  • Credit/Debit card or PayPal account

  1. Research online stores. Search websites like Overstock and eBay for genuine designer clothing at a fraction of the price. eBay offers numerous deals from people who want to downsize their wardrobe. Overstock is a site that receives the overstock of items that do not sell in major department stores. Each site provides excellent deals to consumers.

  2. Visit local thrift stores, vintage stores and consignment shops. Thrift stores receive clothing donations daily. Clothing donations range from upscale designer items to Walmart specials. Ask the store clerk when new items are added to clothing racks. Then, visit the store on those days to have first pick of the newest designer clothes. Vintage stores and consignment shops also receive donated clothing and consigned items. Most offer designer clothing items at reasonable prices, but probably not as low as eBay or a thrift store.

  3. Keep an eye out for sales. All department stores that sell designer clothing have blowout sales a couple of times per year. Clothing markdowns are more noticeable at the end of a season, usually in July and January. Frequently check department store sales ads and in-store markdowns. Eventually, you will find designer clothing you want on sale.
