Buying purses wholesale is not as difficult as it seems. To order wholesale, you will need a resale id number. You will also need storage space to keep your stock. Manufacturers only sell to businesses, so establish one before purchasing stock.

• Register for a resale license. You will be issued an id number that manufacturers must have in order to sell to you wholesale. Check with your local sales and use tax office to get one of these. 


• Locate storage space. If you have a spare room in your home, you could use this also. You will need a clean area to keep your stock.


• Surf the Internet. One of the best ways to find new manufacturers to purchase from is by searching Google. Simply type in wholesale purses. This can be a very time consuming task, so plan on spending an hour or two doing this. Keep a notebook by your computer and jot down notes about the company you are interested in, and whether or not you sent an email. 


• Visit trade shows. Once you have your resale license, you will be able to attend. Plan on attending one that offers clothing vendors, as several will also sale purses. When attending these trade shows, keep in mind you will need to purchase in extremely large amounts.


• Send a letter of inquiry to a manufacturer you like. If wanting to sell purses wholesale, you probably know several brands that you already like. Visit their website and ask what their wholesale terms are. Most big brands require a large initial order.
