Buying t-shirts from wholesale companies can save a person or business a great deal of money. Consider buying from a wholesaler if you work for a business that will sell individual shirts for profit, or if you’re an individual looking to purchase shirts for a group or organization.

• Find a company that sells t-shirts in bulk at a reasonable price. A couple ways to do this would be to either do an online search for wholesale companies or simply look in the yellow pages of the phone book for them. If prices are not listed on the website or yellow page ad, call each company to see which one offers the best deal on wholesale t-shirts.


• Choose a style and color of t-shirt that works for your project or that you believe will be profitable for your business. Go with several colors in order to satisfy a wider group of individuals.


• Figure out the amount of shirts and what sizes to purchase based on your budget. Some companies may require a specific amount of shirts to be ordered in order to receive a discount. Ask the wholesale company how much they charge for each shirt. The price per item will usually go down for larger orders.


• Have a tax ID number handy in case the wholesaler requests it. Many store owners need this in order to be able to buy from wholesalers. If you don’t have a sales tax ID number, try purchasing from a company that doesn’t need the number.
