• Find a company with good customer service. Some companies are not at all helpful once you sign up with them. They do not allow you to answer questions or contact them at all. Find a company that is willing to help you with questions and concerns that may come.


• Compare product prices of different companies. Choose an item to compare that you want to sell. Research the cost of that item with several drop shipping companies and then do a search of how much that item would cost if you purchased it retail.


• Do not sign up with a company that charges a membership price. Membership prices are very rarely worth the cost, as you do not get much benefit from it.


• Research the selection the drop ship companies offer and the variety. Find a company that offers many different products so you have the option of selling a large selection.


• Find out about the reputation of the company. Read reviews on the Internet to find out if there are complaints or praises of a particular company you are thinking about using. 


• Order a product from the company so you can find out how long it would take one of your customers to receive a product. You will also be able to see the quality of the product.
