How to Clean Atrium Windows
Atrium windows are quite popular for both residential and businesses, as they last many years due to the quality used when making the windows by the manufacturer. Taking care of your Atrium windows with regular cleaning is necessary to keep them looking brand new.
- Avoid washing or cleaning your
atrium windows when the sunlight is directly on the glass, this can
cause the water and the soap solution to “bake” onto the surface
before you have a chance to wipe it away, which can be nearly
impossible to remove. - Stay away from glass cleaners, as
these are too abrasive for atrium windows. Instead, use a mild dish
soap mixed with warm water. Use a bucket along with a soft sponge or
cloth to clean the windows with the solution. Do not make the
mixture extremely “soapy” because that will make it nearly
impossible to rinse the windows, therefore, you only need to use a
tablespoon of the dish soap per gallon of water. - Use a separate bucket of clean
water and a sponge to wipe the soap off the windows, never leave any
soap residue behind, as this will cause your windows to have a film
that will difficult to remove once it “sets” in. - Purchase an absorbing soft cloth,
wipe and dry each window after you have rinse them with clean water.
This will avoid streaks and spots from building up on the windows.
Clean your atrium windows regularly to maintain their beauty and add
longevity.
