How to Clean Commercial Tile Floors
Materials Needed
- Broom
- Dustpan
- Garbage
- Large bucket
- Hot water
- Commercial tile cleaner
- Mop
- Use a broom to remove all of the dust, dirt and debris from the surface of the tile floor. Place the dirt in a dustpan and discard it in a garbage can. Make sure you remove the dirt from the corners as well. Check over the floor to make sure all of the dirt is removed.
- Fill a large bucket with 4 gallons of hot water. Add 8 ounces of commercial tile cleaner. Make sure you read the directions on the label for the best dilution of the cleaner.
- Dip the mop into the solution. Swish the mop around in the solution to blend the cleaner and water. Wring a small amount of water out of the mop. Clean the floor in small sections using a figure eight on the tile as you go along. Turn the mop over once it becomes dirty.
- Dip the mop into the solution as many times as possible to clean the entire area. If the water becomes dirty, change it so it will not stain the floor. Allow the floor to completely dry once it has been mopped.
