How to Clean Dishwasher Mold
Mold on the interior of a dishwasher can be very dangerous if not cleaned as soon as it is detected. Fortunately, there is a safe and easy way to get rid of the mold and it can be accomplished by using some supplies that most people usually keep around the house.
How to Clean Dishwasher Mold
Remove all the racks from the dishwasher, which will make it easier to clean the corners and seals.
Wash the racks in warm water and dishwashing detergent to get rid of any mold that may have come in contact with them.
In a spray bottle, combine 1/2 cup of white vinegar and 2 cups of hot water.
Spray the mixture on the seal of the dishwasher and anywhere else you see mold.
Scrub the affected areas with an old toothbrush, and then rinse with warm water.
Place the racks back in the dishwasher.
Put some white vinegar in small dishwasher safe bowl and place it in the top rack.
Turn the dishwasher on the regular wash cycle and the highest heat setting available.
Sprinkle 1 cup of baking soda on the floor of the dishwasher and run the wash cycle and with high heat setting again. This will deodorize and remove any mold that the vinegar wash missed.
