How to Clean Miracle Maid Cookware
Miracle Maid cookware was sold in the 1950’s through the 1970’s, and was originally made of aluminum. It can be difficult to clean this cookware if you have hard stains on the pots and pans, but it can be done. There are various ways you can try to clean the cookware, depending upon how stained it is.
- Dampen the Miracle Maid cookware and spring baking soda inside of it. Add vinegar to the baking side inside the cookware and it will start to fizzle. Use a plastic scrubber and wipe the inside of the cookware out to remove the stains. Rinse with warm water and dry completely when finished.
- Clean the cookware using lemon and salt. Cut the lemon into wedges, and sprinkle salt onto the stain on the cookware. Scrub the salt using the lemon wedge. The salt will not scratch the cookware, as it will dissolve in the lemon.
- Fill your sink with warm water, and then put in one cup of OxyClean. Allow the OxyClean to dissolve in the water. Soak the Miracle Maid cookware in the water with the OxyClean for approximately 25 minutes, and then wash it out using a scrubber or sponge, along with dish washing liquid. Rinse and dry thoroughly when you are finished.
- Clean the outside of the cookware with a scotch brite pad with comet. Dampen the scotch brite pad, sprinkle comet onto it and wipe down the outside of the cookware. Rinse thoroughly when you are finished, and wash with regular dish washing liquid. Never put the cookware in the dishwasher.
